This is a purely mail order activity and there is no shop for customers to visit.

Based in Adelaide (South Australia) this site is operated by E.C. Productions which began in 1979 with the publication of the first issue of “DNA” fanzine, a self-produced magazine covering local punk / alternative / underground bands. After a couple of years it expanded to release home duplicated cassettes of music by the bands “DNA” wrote about, then went on to distribute other fanzines and music releases from elsewhere in Australia. During the early 1990s it was part owner of the legendary “Thrash Grind Grunge” music store, progressed to releasing local band’s music via a CD burner and ended the century with its first release on vinyl.

Throughout this time EC Productions also sold music in all formats (vinyl, tape, CD, video, DVD) both new & secondhand, along with related books & magazines. It also participated in a loose cooperative of music researchers dedicated to documenting contemporary Australian & New Zealand music. It continues to distribute selected music and publications via this site and is always interested in trading appropriate material as well as establishing links with other websites.

A very basic website was created in May 1997, followed by a “proper” one in February 2001 and then the entire system was re-built & re-launched in August 2008. Currently it specialises in the sale of books about contemporary music, by mail order and at selected market-type events in Adelaide.

Along the way, it also helps to co-ordinate & promote record fairs in Adelaide.
